Rambler Welding Industries Pty Ltd has extensive experience in all facets of steel work, specializing in structural steel work for commercial and industrial buildings.
As our apprentice welder you will learn on the job from a welcoming team of skilled tradesmen as well as attending Wagga TAFE to gain your Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade). As a member of our team, you will be provided with uniforms and the required personal protective equipment.
You will perform the following tasks:
- Interpret engineering drawings and plans to measure and cut steel components accurately
- Fabricate structural steel to the required quality standards
- Liaise with management and staff
- Train in structural welding and fabrication
- Assist with site work
- Ensure the work area is clean and safe
- Attend and contribute to the monthly tool box meeting
- Ensure that site processes needed for the Quality Management System are established, implemented and maintained.
- Contribute to resolution of problems recorded in Action Plan Register
- Follow Quality Management System procedures and safety practices, including the company’s drug & alcohol policy.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
- Meet the entry requirements to enroll at TAFE in Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade)
- Hardworking with willingness to follow instructions and learn
- Motivated with ability to work with others and share experience
- Good time management
- Show initiative and use problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to travel to job sites (may include overnight stays)
Desirable
- Provisional or full driver's license and own transportation
- White Card
